Returns and Exchanges Policy

At West Wiltshire Micros, customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we strive to provide excellent service. We understand that mistakes can occur, and we have implemented a hassle-free policy to handle returns, refunds, and back orders. Proof of purchase will be required.


 Please review the following guidelines:
1.    Returns and Refunds: 
2.    a. General Items:
       •    You can return items within 30 days of the purchase date if you have purchased the wrong item or if it does not meet your expectations. All packaging needs to be intact and unopened.
       •    For special order items or items not typically kept in stock, a 20% restocking fee may apply. 
3.    b. Inks & Cartridges:
       •    Inks and cartridges must be returned with the internal seals and packaging intact.
       •    Unopened packs can be returned within 30 days for a refund.
       •    Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds on opened packs.
4.    c. Papers & Stationery:
       •    Unopened packs can be returned within 30 days for a refund.
       •    Opened packs are non-refundable.
5.    Hardware Items:
       •    Unopened hardware items can be returned for a refund; however, a 20% restocking fee may apply if the item is a special order or an item that is not typically kept in stock.
        •    Faulty items, Dead on Arrival (DOA), and items covered under warranties are handled as follows:
        •    DOA: If an item is faulty within 7 days of purchase, please contact us to return the product, so we can verify the fault, we will either refund or replace the item.
        •    Item within Warranty: Most new items come with a standard 12-month warranty. For warranty-related issues, please contact us as soon as possible so we can advise on the relevant returns procedure (allow up to 30 days for processing) as we may need to send it back to the manufacturer for verification.  You will receive either a repaired or replacement unit. To initiate the process,

•    Hardware Testing: If we test a hardware item and it works on our systems, it will be considered non-faulty and returned to you.
6.    Ink Cartridges:
       •    Ink cartridges come with a 3-month warranty.
       •    Please ensure you have the correct cartridge number for your printer before inserting it.
       •    If the cartridge is faulty, please provide an example of a printout if possible, and we will provide an exchange.
7.   Software:
       •    For software, please ensure compatibility with your computer and operating system before purchasing.
       •    To return software, we require a reference from the manufacturer indicating the fault and whether they will offer an exchange or refund to West Wiltshire Micros, which will be passed on to you.


8.    Computer Hardware:
       •    If you purchased a computer system built by West Wiltshire Micros, you have an exclusive 5-year return to base warranty.
       •    The warranty covers parts and labour in the first year and labour only for years 2-5 (parts are chargeable, fitting is free)

Software related faults, virus attacks, and software/driver reloads are chargeable

.
•    In case of a fault:
       •    Contact us, and an engineer will consult with you over the phone to diagnose the problem.
       •    If the fault cannot be resolved, you may need to bring in the faulty unit back to us (arrangements can be made for a courier pick-up at your own cost or we offer a chargeable collect & return service within the local area).
       •    We will work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and inform you when the problem is resolved.
9.    Items with a 3-6 Month Warranty:
       •    For items with a 3- 6 month warranty, please contact us for warranty resolution.
       •    If the issue cannot be resolved, you will need to send the unit back to us.
       •    Please note that the warranty period will not be extended while the unit is in our workshops for fault rectification.

            Allow up to 2 weeks for the processing of faulty computers.
